Our story

About Us

Bounce and Boogie started with one pair of Kangoo Jumps, a Baltimore parking lot and a belief that fitness should feel like freedom.

Why We Created Bounce and Boogie

Too many girls and women quit moving because workouts felt punishing, boring or intimidating. We wanted the opposite: music loud, energy high, judgment nowhere. Rebound fitness gave us the answer — it protects joints, burns serious calories and honestly feels like flying.

What started as a weekend meetup became a mentorship program. Girls came for the boots and stayed for the sisterhood. Today we run youth and adult classes across Baltimore and Harford County, plus community pop-ups, school partnerships and scholarship-funded spots for families who need them.

Founder & Head Coach

Meet Angel Barber-El

Angel is a Baltimore-rooted fitness instructor, mentor and mom-energy powerhouse. She founded Bounce and Boogie to give girls a place where movement builds confidence and confidence builds futures. Certified in rebound fitness and trained in youth mentorship, Angel leads every class with the same promise: you belong here, exactly as you are.

"Let's Bounce. Let's Boogie."

The science of the bounce

Why Kangoo Jumps

Absorbs up to 80% of impact, protecting knees, ankles and lower back.

Burns more calories than running at the same perceived effort.

Improves balance, posture and core stability with every rep.

Boosts lymphatic flow, circulation and mood — the bounce is instant serotonin.
