Youth Mentoring & Fitness After-School Program
A comprehensive after-school program — approximately 3 hours per program day, Monday through Thursday in Edgewood, Maryland. September 7 – November 19 · 3:30 PM – 6:30 PM. More than a fitness class: youth mentoring, social-emotional learning (SEL), structured fitness and movement, confidence building, leadership development, teamwork, goal setting, positive peer relationships and healthy lifestyle education.
The program is FREE — no tuition and no payment required. Just complete the registration form to reserve your child's spot. Space is limited.

Daily Program Breakdown
Approximately three hours per program day. Exact start and end times may be adjusted with the participating school or site based on dismissal, transportation, facility availability and student needs.
Arrival, Attendance & Transition
30 minCheck-in, hydration/snack as applicable, transition from the school day and relationship building.
Mentoring & SEL
30 minGoal setting, confidence, communication, emotional regulation, accountability and leadership.
Warm-Up & Safety Review
15 minMovement preparation, safety expectations, stretching and equipment checks.
Structured Fitness & Movement
60 minCardio, rebound-style fitness when appropriate, dance-inspired movement, balance, coordination and games.
Team Building & Leadership
30 minPartner and group challenges, sportsmanship, cooperation, perseverance and positive peer interaction.
Cool-Down, Reflection & Dismissal
15 minCool-down, hydration, reflection, goal check and organized dismissal.
Program goals
